Duane Haylett Videographer Duane Haylett studied Graphic Design and Photography. After working as a graphic designer for a year he left his job to work in the film industry. He also found himself very interested in dynamic mediums such as animation and various forms of motion graphics. He later started creating short films and writing screenplays. Wedding videography has become his main area of expertise. Duane does not like staged performances. "I like to capture authentic moments on camera. I also like to make people feel as comfortable as possible when in front of the camera." Although he enjoys the filming part of the process, "...the editing is where it all comes together and the magic happens." Will you be the photographer at my wedding?
Yes, I photograph all the weddings myself.

Do you do Videography?
Yes I have my own videographer. My wife does the filming and i do the magic (editing)

Why do I pay as a R500 deposit to secure your services?
I always take a R500 deposit to secure my services for your wedding because I may have many couples that will request my services for your date.Your R500 deposit gives you peace of mind that my services are booked in advance for your wedding.It also allows me to turn away couples that are requesting your date for their wedding. It is a mutual relationship :)

If I cancel my wedding with you is my deposit refundable?
Unfortunately not. I might reject many other couples for the date you have booked which in turn i will lose business in the end. Dates are also not transferable :)

What coverage in terms of hours can i expect for your services?
My standard package is for 8 hours coverage.This is usually sufficient for most weddings of between 40 and 150 guests.

Are there traveling expenses?
No unless you are getting married on the moon :-)

When do we pay the final balance of payment?
I prefer payment on the day of the wedding or a week before the wedding.

What time before the wedding will you arrive?
I usually arrive 30 min before the bride gets in her wedding dress to capture bridal make-up etc.

Do you cover weddings in Johannesburg, Durban, London and worldwide?
I do many weddings in Johannesburg Bloemfontein etc. and I have a lot booked for 2009 and 2010. I am available for weddings in the U.K or anywhere in the world. I have a passport so no problem traveling and working in the U.K :)

Do we need to meet before the wedding?
This is entirely up to you. I have been a wedding photographer/videographer for 9 years so I know what to do and what to look out for. The entire event is captured 90% naturally, so as long as you are enjoying yourself this will be captured in your photographs, the more we pose images the less time and opportunity I have to capture the reality and moments of your wedding. Consider doing a portrait session after your wedding for more relaxed posed images :)

How long before i get my goodies?
Well...in 2 weeks or so. If your getting married in March or April it might take a bit longer as we do a lot of weddings that time of year.

Do you have back up equipment?
Yip... i have to this is a once in a lifetime event and cant afford not to have reliable equipment.

Who selects the photos for the album?
I do. I feel that by the time your back from you honeymoon the album is ready for you. We found that couples take too long to the photos for the album and for me doing do many weddings a month and cant afford to wait on couples to select. I pretty much select the photographs that you will select anyway.

If we need more enlargements printed in future (after we collected)?
Only If you need any A3 or larger prints done. I use a professional printing company and they know how to print the bigger enlargements correctly. All the photos i give you on your disc is Hi Res photos so can go print anywhere with them.
